Brett Eades

Brett is the Energy Manager for Alliance Group – one of New Zealand’s largest red meat processors and one of the country’s largest hot water users.

Brett joined Alliance in 2023, after spending a number of years consulting to Alliance to develop energy projects and transition strategy. Over this time, Alliance has made significant investment to reduce process heat demand, increase use of heat recovery, and to electrify process heat through installation of heat pumps and targeted direct electrification of processes.

Prior to joining Alliance Group, Brett spent seven years at DETA, supporting large energy users with engineering, operations, and economic decision making, in the landscape of an ever-changing energy trilemma. This work in New Zealand and Australia was across a range of industries, but predominantly the larger food processors filling the worlds dinner-plate.
