Ed Hyde

Ed joined Genesis in September 2023 as Chief Transformation & Technology Officer. In addition to overseeing Transformation and Technology, Ed also manages our Strategy team and our LPG business. He was also previously responsible for Genesis’ Commercial and Industrial business.

Ed is a proven senior executive with a track record of introducing new technologies and working practices to enable businesses to drive productivity through innovation and disruption, complementing his strong people and commercial leadership experience. Prior to joining Genesis, Ed was Chief Customer Officer at Chorus New Zealand. He has also held senior roles at Spark New Zealand, including Chief Executive Officer for Spark Ventures and Chief Executive Officer for data and insights platform, Qrious.

Ed’s earlier career began in the UK where he held a number of senior roles in the telecommunications industry.

Ed holds a Bachelor of Science in Material Science and Engineering from Manchester University, United Kingdom.
